Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan opens new MLCP facility at Thampanoor
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Wednesday inaugurated the new multi-level car parking (MLCP) facility at Thampanoor. The facility was completed as part of the Smart city project.
Car washing facility and EV charging facility shall be integrated later and solar panels will be installed post commissioning as a move towards green energy. The structure can be used to park 400 two-wheelers and 22 cars.
UP govt plans to build EV charging stations on a large scale in UP
The state government is coordinating with NITI Aayog and Asian Development Bank in preparing the Comprehensive Electric Mobility Plan (CEMP) for Lucknow. This scheme will be launched in all the 17 municipal corporation cities selected under the Smart City Mission as soon as possible, and extended to other cities in future. Strategic routes will be identified for the development of charging facilities while changing the transport system.
Fast-charging hub at Kolkata's New Town for 30 EVs
KOLKATA: Hidco, in collaboration with a private agency, inaugurated one of the largest fast-charging electric vehicle charging station hub in New Town on Monday evening. Around 25-30 EVs will be able to charge at the hub—at the same time. Spread over 1,150 sqm, the facility has been set up near Biswa Bangla Convention Centre.

Kolkata Municipal Corporation to ink deal with Mumbai firm to set up 40 EV charging stations

EVs occupy 15% of overall vehicle sale pie in March in Delhi
NEW DELHI: The electric vehicle (EV) sale continues to rise in Delhi with this category contributing close to 15% of the overall number in March, the transport department stated. The department said 7,926 EVs were sold, out of which fourwheelers were 20% and three-wheelers 12%. In all, 53,620 vehicles were sold in Delhi in March.
Work on Nashik civic body’s 1st EV charging station starts
NASHIK: The civic body has initiated the process to set up electronic vehicle (EV) charging stations across the city. On Sunday, the ‘bhumi pujan’ of the first EV charging station was held at the Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) headquarters in Rajiv Gandhi Bhavan. EV charging gets costlier for Mumbai
MUMBAI: Starting this month, the cost of charging your electric vehicle (EV) battery will be expensive. The Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC) has approved a 14%-18% hike in tariff for power utilities setting up EV charging stations across the city.
200% spike seen in Pune's EV registrations over last year
PUNE: The registration of electric vehicles (EVs) in the city in the last financial year (2022-23) has increased by over 200%, when compared 8,668 registrations in 2021-22. Property owners to get 5% rebate if facilities are set up
NASHIK: The owners of over 5.22 lakh properties will get a rebate of 5% in their annual property tax if they set up any of the five facilities in their properties from the current financial year.
The five facilities comprise rainwater harvesting, EV charging stations, recycling of wastewater, solar water heaters and solar power panels.
