Mumbai: To encourage electric vehicle (EV) registrations, Tata Power has set up 1,231 charging points for Mumbai till date, announced its city head - distribution Nilesh Kane. This includes 111 fast-charging points which can charge a car in 30-45 minutes, and 550 points in housing societies. The BMC on Wednesday also announced that EV charging stations will be started in 10 more public parking lots, following an agreement signed with HPCL.

New Delhi - The Ministry of Heavy Industries on Tuesday said Rs 800 crore under FAME India Scheme Phase II has been sanctioned to three PSU oil marketing companies (OMC) for setting up 7,432 public fast charging EV stations across the country. MUMBAI: A real estate agent from Andheri MIDC has been duped of nearly Rs 2 lakh by fraudsters who claimed to help him get a dealership of Tata Power EV charging station. A senior spokesperson from Tata Power said the company has been warning citizens on social media and other platforms not to fall prey to such scams.

Kochi: In a major initiative to promote electric vehicles, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL), a Maharatna company, on Friday announced the launch of 19 EV fast-charging corridors on 15 major highways in Kerala, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.

Electric vehicle charging infra platform CHARGE+ZONE on Monday announced raising $54 million (Rs 450 crore) in Series A1 funding round led by global impact investment management firm BlueOrchard Finance. Additionally, the company plans to raise $75-100 million in equity as part of Series A2 during 2023-2024, CHARGE+ZONE said in a statement.

NEW DELHI: Delhi government's solar policy, which will be notified next month, aims at meeting 25% of the city's annual power demand through clean energy by 2025, finance minister Kailash Gahlot said on Wednesday in the assembly.

"The Delhi government has treated providing minimum electricity to every household in Delhi like a fundamental right and in the year 2022-23, out of Delhi's 58.5 lakh domestic consumers, about 84 per cent had availed the Delhi government's electricity subsidy scheme," he said in the assembly.

In a written reply to Lok Sabha, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In), which is mandated to track and monitor cyber security incidents in India, received reports of vulnerabilities in products and applications related to electric vehicle charging stations.
