Tata Power sets up 1.2K EV charging points in city

Mumbai: To encourage electric vehicle (EV) registrations, Tata Power has set up 1,231 charging points for Mumbai till date, announced its city head - distribution Nilesh Kane. This includes 111 fast-charging points which can charge a car in 30-45 minutes, and 550 points in housing societies. The BMC on Wednesday also announced that EV charging stations will be started in 10 more public parking lots, following an agreement signed with HPCL.
