Tata Power sets up 1.2K EV charging points in city
Mumbai: To encourage electric vehicle (EV) registrations, Tata Power has set up 1,231 charging points for Mumbai till date, announced its city head - distribution Nilesh Kane. This includes 111 fast-charging points which can charge a car in 30-45 minutes, and 550 points in housing societies. The BMC on Wednesday also announced that EV charging stations will be started in 10 more public parking lots, following an agreement signed with HPCL.
Govt sanctions Rs 800 cr for installing 7,432 EV fast charging stations
New Delhi - The Ministry of Heavy Industries on Tuesday said Rs 800 crore under FAME India Scheme Phase II has been sanctioned to three PSU oil marketing companies (OMC) for setting up 7,432 public fast charging EV stations across the country. Electric vehicle charging infra platform CHARGE+ZONE on Monday announced raising $54 million (Rs 450 crore) in Series A1 funding round led by global impact investment management firm BlueOrchard Finance.
