More charge points for electric vehicles in Mumbai

BMC plans to set up more charging stations for electric vehicles in public parking lots owned by BMC. In its budget for 2023-24, it mentioned: "The Central government is promoting use of electric vehicles (EV) in India and issued regulations and standards, guidelines to set up vehicle charging systems. IOCL biogas plant in Tirumala

Vijayawada: Indian Oil Corporation will set up a biogas generation plant in Tirumala in association with TTD The plant will utilise food waste generated at annadanam counter. B Anil Kumar, executive director and state head of IOCL on Thursday said they have established 138 EV charging stations in the state till date and another 200 stations will be set up in next one year. Anil Kumar said IOCL has constructed a new depot at Guntakal at a cost of 350 crore which will be inaugurated soon.
