Honda India’s energy subsidiary, Honda Power Pack Energy India Pvt Ltd (HEID) in a joint venture with the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has begun operations for its battery swapping services in the state capital. The Honda e:swap battery services will promote emobility and will be operated by HEID at BMRCL Metro stations across the city.

The West Bengal government on Wednesday said that it is planning to set up 1,000 electric vehicle charging stations across the state over the next two years. With this, the state government aims to encourage greater adoption of environment-friendly vehicles, reports PTI. Honda & BMRCL kick off operation of battery swap service at BMRCL Metro Stations
In November 2021, Honda Power Pack was established to begin battery swap service in India starting with electric auto rickshaws. The battery swap service will enable rickshaw drivers to stop by at the nearest battery stations being setup across the selected cities and swap discharged batteries (Honda Mobile Power Pack e:) with fully charged ones.
West Bengal plans 1000 EV charging stations in 2 years

India's EV revolution could bear fruit by 2030, survey shows
A private consumer expectation survey on Monday showed that around 66% of Indians said that electric vehicles will surpass petrol and diesel cars by 2030. The survey also showed that a majority of Indian consumers, around 57%, want to invest in EVs because of their practical benefits while 56% want to purchase an EV because it is good for the environment.
Electric vehicles charging stations must for 500 new buildings in Nashik
The Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) has made it mandatory for over 500 under-construction residential buildings with more than 25 flats each to have charging stations for electric vehicles (EV). If a building houses 100 flats, it should have four EV charging stations. Earlier, it was voluntary for buildings to have EV charging stations.
