As a first step in this direction, the state government is holding a day-long CEO-Ministerial Dialogue on Friday to frame requisite policy by eliciting views and ideas from various stakeholders. This is a first such initiative by a state, under the World Economic Forum-Moving India network, on 'Shaping the Future of Mobility', according to AP Industries and Investment Minister Gudivada Amarnath.

Convergence Energy Services Ltd (CESL), a subsidiary of Energy Efficiency Services Limited, has announced these EV charging stations will cover more than 10,000 km of India's national highway network

The selected corridors include busy routes such as the Mumbai-Pune highway, Ahmedabad-Vadodara Highway, Delhi-Agra Yamuna Expressway, Eastern Peripheral Expressway, Hyderabad ORR Expressway, and Agra-Nagpur Highway to name a few, as per the statement.

The Department of New & Renewable Energy, Government of Goa, has issued a notice announcing that it will stop offering subsidies for electric vehicles (EVs) in the state, with effect from July 31, 2022. This makes Goa the first state in the country to discontinue subsidies for EVs.

Audi India Head Balbir Singh Dhillon said the auto major would stop production of current models powered by ICE and would commence transition to sell only electric vehicles from 2033 onwards. In the public transportation space, the electric buses have a key role to play. India now plans a $10 billion electric Bus contract to curb emissions. CESL, a subsidiary of EESL, a government of India undertaking together with World Resources Institute India (WRI) has started contemplating to speed up the deployment of 50,000 electric buses in India by 2030.
